Re: [TRNSYS-users] TABS (autosegmentation, tess library,...)

Dear David,

Please refer to the email from last week to this user list for more information about autosegmentation (Title: Active Layer Dividing).
https://mailman.cae.wisc.edu/pipermail/trnsys-users/

For interior surfaces' CHTC, I tend to use the internal calculation that is based on a correlation. Please see the TRNBuild/Type56 documentation for more information.

I apologize, but I am not familiar with TABS.

The TESS Component Libraries for TRNSYS may be obtained through your local TRNSYS Distributor. More information is available at www.trnsys.com.

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] TABS (autosegmentation, tess library,...)

Hi everybody!!!

I have some questions about active layers in Trnsys 16

-How works the software if you use "autosegmentation"? It works the same way as piping circuits in active surfaces?

-Which is the best way to calculate "convective heat transfer coefficient of wall", userdefined (which value is usually used for cooloing ceiling) or internal calculation (which properties may I choose?)?

-I think that TABS (active layers) don´t have capacitive properties (accumulation and inertia), and they only have resistive properties

Is it true? How can I resolve it?

- I have heard about Tess Library

How can I get information about? Coul it resolve my problem? How ?

Thank you,

Best Regards!!!
