I use this regularly, it should work. You could check 2 things:
1. Use equation solver 0 (Global cards parameter 7 = 0)
2. Be sure to use the latest TRNSYS version; there was a version where this did not work indeed, but I just tried with the latest update and it works OK.

Hello, Lei.

I have tried before, but it seems that the input values are correctly assigned
only at the start of the simulation.  Afterwards, the input values remain
unchanged.
