Re: [TRNSYS-users] solar radiation units of weather data type109

Hi Laia,

for type 109 I think the input data should be in Watt/m^2, but the output of type 109 is in kJ/hr.m^2,
you can easily convert the output (kJ/hr.m^2) to (kWatt/m^2) using type 57 (unit conversion routine),
by setting Type 57 parameter as follow:
Table number : 11,
id number for input : 1 and
id number for output : 2

to convert it to Watt/m^2 just use the equation (multiply with 1000)
hope this can help you

hi everybody,

I am getting confused about the units of solar radiation (direct beam, etcc) when using type109: In mathematical reference , 5-432, it says in W/m2, but in studio type109 in out description says kJ/hm2.

what are the correct one?

thanks in advance
Laia
