Elimiano,
I would highly recommend removing your Trnsys installation from the Program Files directory. With Windows 7 and Vista, the operating system is very strange about whether it allows read/write privileges and whether it shows you any files. It tries to keep a lot hidden so that you don't accidentally delete things. If you install Trnsys16 (or 17) in a different directory (I have mine in c:\PF\Trnsys16_1\) these strange problems will go away.
Best,
David

I’ll try to be more precise….
I’m using TRNSYS 16 with Win 7, and I guess the problems I’m experiencing are related to this…
I installed the STEC library, and I’ve saved as suggested the examples into the “MyProject” folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Trnsys 16\MyProjects) that I created (was not originally present!).
I run an example called STEC_STORAGE.
The run goes fine, but if I try to open the Input file, I get the message:
“notepad cannot find the C:\Program Files (x86)\Trnsys 16\MyProjects\STEC_STORAGE.dck file.
If I select: calculate>>open>>list file I can access the “simulation log” window (and then, I suppose, the STEC_STORAGE.log file!). But if I try to open the “list file” he gives me the same error of the .dck file!
If I access the folder “Myprojects” I don’t see these files, but if I access the same folder from the main window (doing for instance “save as” and visualizing “all files”) I can see all the 3 files (STEC_STORAGE.log, STEC_STORAGE.dck and STEC_STORAGE.lst)!!!!
The icons of these files appear with a locker on the bottom-left, and I guess this is the problem, but there are not particular settings related with files’ sharing or safety!
If I double click one of these, I get the message “this project was created with a newer version of IISIBAT and could not be opened with yours”
I can imagine you’re shocked about the mid-term results….but can somebody help me?
Thanks a lot
