Re: [TRNSYS-users] get the simulation data from TRNSYS

Dear Wang,

You can go to the toolbar and by clicking "Calculate" ---> "Open" ---> "External Files" after running the simulation. There are .sum and .prn files which contain data. (For the Type56 building).
You can also link every component you want to get data from with a Type25c (Printer) from the output component list. The ".out" file will be listed also in the "External Files" as I described.

Hope that helps,
Elias Sasati

Philipp,
Make sure that you have a recent Trnsys17 release (the most recent, I believe is 17.00.0019). I seem to recall that one of the earlier releases had a bug in the InterpolateData routine (which is called by Type42). If you do have the most recent version, please send your input file along and I will have a look.

 David

Hi,

I am using performance data file/type42b with 2 independent and 1 dependent variable

20.0 50.0
10.0 20.0 30.0

3
4
5
6

In TRNSYS 17 the output for the dependent variable is always "6", no matter what values the independent variables have. The performance data file and the deck file are attached. In TRNSYS 16 the same performance data file works and the output of the dep. variable is as expected.

Has anyone come across this before? Thanks in advance for help!

regards Philipp
