Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Running Trnsys in batch files
Hi everyone,
This is my first post here in this list. I want to couple BCVTB with TRNSYS. So, I have two questions regarding the topic to run TRNSYS in batch files.
1. Is it possible to run a dck-file from TRNSYS with parameters? With a command like this: "C:\Trnsys16_1\Exe\TRNExe.exe" "C:\Trnsys16_1\Examples\SDHW\sdhw.dck" /n 150 200 300
Assumed the model in TRNSYS requires start values.
2. Furthermore I tried to run the example from the manual. But every time when I run the example "C:\Trnsys16_1\Exe\TRNExe.exe" "C:\Trnsys16_1\Examples\SDHW\sdhw.dck" /n
I will get an error message:
---------------------------
TRNEXE: TRNExe.exe - Unable To Locate Component
---------------------------
This application has failed to start because libmx.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
I don’t understand this message, because the libmx.dll is already in C:\TRNSYS16_1\UserLib\DebugDLLs and C:\TRNSYS16_1\UserLib\ReleaseDLLs and C:\TRNSYS16_1\UserLib. What’s wrong??
Thank you very much in advance.
Marion

Marion -
I have just completed a Type for TRNSYS version 17 that will allow TRNSYS
to be used in BCVTB. It is still a beta version, but let me know if you
would like to test it out.
I do not quite understand your questions - are you trying to run directly
from the command line in windows or are you trying to execute TRNSYS from
BCVTB?
Regards,
Tim

Did you try QCOMO or the QCOMI NType outputs yet?

Dear Mesude,
Click on escape key two times. Your focus in on the old zone, release the focus by pressing escape

Hello,
I tried to create a new shading group tool after I created new zone. However, an error showed up and said
" Zone should be added at the top level of a SketchUp model"
I tried to do that in difference places, always it says the same error.
Any idea?
Thank you._______________________________________________

I'm trying to obtain the heat transfer coefficient, so the problem is similar.
I tried with QCOMI for a surface and dividing it by the temperature difference between the surface and the star node, but I found non-physical results.
Is there any heat flux I have to subtract to QCOMI before?
What about QABSI? (QCOMI - QABSI) shouldn't be the convective heat flux?
Thank you
