Re: [TRNSYS-users] angle of incidence

Dear Marielle,

TRNSYS Type 56 requires the angle of incidence in order to compute the fraction of the incident radiation which is transmitted through the windows (which is depending on the incidence angle).

Regards,

Philippe.

Oke, I know what the angle of incidence is, but I wonder what its influence is? I use it as an input for type 56. (incidence angle is an indication howmuch sun falls on surface, but type 16 calculates the radiation, so why do I need it)

I ask this because I?ve data with radiation on different surfaces, and I want to use this, but I don?t have the angle of incidence.

Kind regards,

Mariëlle

Hello,

Type 16 calculates, besides Total en beam radiation, also the angle of incidence. Does anyone who what the definition is of this angle? I can?t find it in the manual.

Thanks,

Mariëlle
