Re: [TRNSYS-users] Controlling type11 flow diverter
Markus, you can use an equation to do this.
Use outside temp. (OAT) as input to the equation
Then set the control sig. for the diverter (DCS) based on outside temp. setpoint (OATSP): DCS = lt(OAT,OATSP)
Then link the output DCS to the input channel of the diverter for control sig.
Make sure the total flow rate in inlet 1 and inlet 2 of the diverter is the one you want at the outlet.

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Controlling type11 flow diverter
Dear Trnsys users,
I am simulating a system where water coming from a cooling tower goes to
a type 11 flow diverter. I would like to control the diverter so that
whenever ambient temperature is less than setpoint ambient temperature,
outlet2 lets water flow through it. If ambient temperature is above
setpoint all water flows through outlet1. How could I do this?
Kind regards,
Markus Hyttinen
