Re: [TRNSYS-users] Calling a type

Benoît,
I would recommend writing the cooling coil equations inside your Type. There is a case in the standard library where one Type calls another one internally but the coding has been modified on both sides to allow the communication to occur. One other alternative that you might consider is to build your air handler component out of a series of other components (a fan, the cooling coil, a heating coil, an energy wheel, etc.). If that is not an option because not all of the pieces that you need exist, you could write a Type for all the parts of the AHU except for the cooling coil, then link your new Type to Type752 in the Studio.
Best,
 David

Dear Trnsys users,

Sorry for this question that may be stupid, but I am not very experienced in Fortran.

I am writing a component for an AHU inside which there is a cooling coil.

Should I necessarily describe the cooling coil inside the code of my component or is it possible to call an existing type (cooling coil Type752) from my Type ?

Thank you for your help
