Guy, Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to your question directly. However, I suspect that since radiation can be transmitted, absorbed, or reflected, by definition, the radiation absorbed on outside surfaces would NOT include any that was transmitted through the outside surface into the interior of the zone. The TRNSYS 17 manual offers the following clarification: SQABSO is the total radiation absorbed at the outside surfaces of specified airnodes (thermal zones in TRNSYS 16) including solar gains, radiant heat, internal radiation and wallgains, but not longwave radiation exchange with Tsky.
