Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) is a strategic business unit in Automation and Control Solutions (ACS). HBS installs and maintains the systems to help keep buildings and facilities safe, secure, comfortable and cost-efficient, and is a leading providing of energy efficiency solutions worldwide. HBS specializes in service of critical building systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), building automation, fire, security and energy management.

The Performance Contracting Engineer (PCE) serves as the technical resource to the sales and operations teams responsible for identifying and understanding the energy and mechanical related problems within a customer's facility. The PCE takes site evaluation information and develops comprehensive, cost-effective technical solutions that increase the operational and energy efficiency of the site.

The successful candidate needs to be in front of the customer solving problems. We are looking for a technical leader that is an effective communicator, and someone that is outgoing and loves to work with people. This person is creative in delivering quality solutions to the customer.

Major Duties and Responsibilities include:
1. Identifying and developing energy conservation measures at public and private sector facilities.
2. Composing and presenting comprehensive facility analysis reports.
3. Determining energy baselines, developing measurement and verification methodologies, calculating operations and ancillary savings.
4. Generating financial reports supporting performance contracts and delivering all materials in a timely manner to the Proposal Department.
5. Experienced in commercial and industrial energy engineering, utility cost analysis, facilities management, life cycle cost analysis, project development and conservation program implementation.
6. Demonstrated ability to accurately analyze and quantify energy consumption and savings.
7. Proficient in project management, estimating and document submittal requirements.
8. Good communication, presentation and computer skills.
9. Responsible for participating in sales presentations, cultivating relationships with customer's personnel and develops new opportunities within customer accounts.
10. Serves as a technical expert during the performance contracting sales process. Provides guidance to proposal development team.
11. Support lighting assessments, design and auditing.
12. Support building automation/EMS/controls analysis and design.

 

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical engineering, Architectural or other Industrial Engineering degree
• Minimum of 3 years progressive technical solution development experience; program development, energy engineering and design engineering management.


Additional Qualifications:
• Mechanical engineering experience preferred
• Strong focus on technical team development, resource management, business unit effectiveness and efficient business operations.
• Strong background and knowledge of building system design, application and operation.

Professional Credentials:
• Professional Engineer license (PE) or Engineer in training (EIT) with the potential to obtain a PE within one year.
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) a plus
• AEE Certifications a plus
• LEED Accredited Professional a plus
