Re: [TRNSYS-users] TRNBuild materials library; information request about adding a water layer

Dear Artemi Spanaki,

There is no open water model in TRNBUILD/Type56, but there is an 'active layer' for radiant floors and chilled celings.

There does exist a Indoor or Outdoor Pool model from Transsolar (www.trnsys.de) that does take into account evaporation.

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] TRNBuild materials library;information request about adding a water layer

 Dear TRNSYS users.

The layer library of TRNBuild gives the opportunity of adding a water layer (no. 99/ otherMaterials / water 20C), in building's envelope.

I wonder whether this water layer is considered to be enclosed in a pond. If not (open pond) an amount of water is evaporated. (This is commonly used as a passive roof cooling technique).

Is this water layer taking into account evaporation?

Thank you very much.

Yours sincerely

Artemi Spanaki
