Re: [TRNSYS-users] variable parameter - simple question

Dear Ricardo Pantoja Bernardo,

Please realize one of the fundamentals of TRNSYS components. Parameters are time independent and do not and cannot change with time. On the other hand, inputs can change with time (time dependent) or remain constant throughout the simulation.  Thus, you would have to change a few things the source code to make that parameter an input. Alternatively, you could use the aquastat and the tank components from the TESS Storage Tank Library to have a variable set point as well.

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] variable parameter - simple question

Hey TRNSYS users,

I have a rather simple question to you. I need to set a parameter as a variable along the simulation instead of a constant value. I need to have the set point temperature of a tank (type4) thermostat variable along time. I tried to set the parameter as a "string" variable and then define that parameter using equations but didn't work...

Any suggestion?

Regards,
