Re: [TRNSYS-users] problem using trnedit: win-x64

Erik,
Some time ago, there was a problem with one of the TRNEdit versions and the error was similar (if not the same) as the one you reference. It didn't have anything to do with 32bit or 64bit machines.
Best,
David

Dear TRNSYS users,

I'm having a problem using trnedit to run parametric variations:

each time I try I get an access violation error: "Access violation at address 00409232 in module 'TRNEdit.exe'. Read of address 0059FF7F

I have seen earlier posts about this and I have been using this function for a very long time on my laptop. Thus, I am aware of the fact that trnedit is picky about making sure the *.dck file is closed and that the file names and paths need to be short (otherwise similar errors could occur). The only difference I can see is that I am running on a newer 64 bit machine with windows x64.
Has anyone experienced this problem and more importantly any fixes? as far as I can tell the installation seems to work properly...

Thanks,

Erik Boschek
