Dapeng,
Because of the way the TRNSYS kernel processes the input file, parameter values are read once at the beginning of the simulation. If you set parameter value to the result of an equation, the equation will be updated throughout the simulation but only the initial value of that equation will be used as the value of the parameter. If you want something in a Type to change with time, there are only two ways of doing it: pass it in as an input, or build the algorithm directly into the Type itself. You then have to recompile the Type and make a new DLL.
Best regards,
David

Dear Roberto,
I think your problem can be solved by defining heat specific and density of glicole-water mixture as a function of temperature in Equa type and changing the related parameter type as string, then connect both two. If this method can run, please let me know.
Best regards,
Dapeng Li

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Type 70
dear users,
I have create a type that define heat specific and density of glicole-
water mixture as a function of temperature; now I'd like to connect
these hourly values with some types but, into the types, I find them
like parameters.
I should use type 70: could someone send me a text file example or
explain me how to use it?
thanks in advance
Roberto
