I am sorry I wasn't able to respond and spare you the headache - I've run into this as well. There is another related issue as well; the redistributable libraries are only for release mode DLLs. As far as I have found, there is no way to give a debug-mode DLL compiled in IVF to someone who doesn't also have IVF installed on their computer.

=> One has to have the freely availalble VC++ redistributable libraries installed on the (target) computer. It seems that there has been some update that caught me unprepared. The VC++ redist. has to be of the same version as the visual studio that was used to compile the type (with me VC++ 2005, VC++ 2008 didnt solve it).

So much for the record. Since I am getting the daily digest only, I am not sure if anyone else has answered before. If so, thank you very very much.
