Re: [TRNSYS-users] Integral Window Shades Parametric Study

Fred,
Shading inside the window is probably best handled using the TRNBuild / Type56 "internal shading device." What you'll need to do is translate your blinds set at various angles to an overall shading factor (0 to 1). Then make the internal shading factor an INPUT to Type56 and set its value using an EQUATION card in your simulation. You can then run a parametric study and change the value of the equation variable in each simulation.
Best,
 David

TRNSYS Users,

I need to run a parametric study on heat gain/loss into a room through a window that has integral blinds set at various angles.

Is there window component that can do that or do I have to use the shading mask somehow?

I am worried about using the shading mask as the shading needs to be inside the window.

Thanks,

Fred
