Re: [TRNSYS-users] QUESTION ABOUT MICRO-COGENERATION

Dear Juan Francisco Belmonte Toledo,

There have been a handful of TRNSYS users that have modeled this 5 kW micro-cogen with the Type907 IC Engine. Your local TRNSYS distributor, Aiguasol, should be able to hook you up with that.

Now, it sound like you may be confusing the two different modes of your building: Energy Rate Control vs. Temperature Level Control. Please note that ERC (for Qheat) is independent of conditioning and heating systems. TLC is dependent of conditioning equipment. I suggest you read the tutorial at the following website.

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] QUESTION ABOUT MICRO-COGENERATION

Hello everyone.

i´d like to model the behaviour of a micro-cogeneration engine (electrical power: 5 kW) coupled with a tank for heating a building and producing electricity, and i´d got some questions:

  * The load of the building (Qheat) is really an output from the type56, and i´d like to supply type56 from a water loop coming from the engine, my question is how i could make this coupling: heating load of building - engine.

  * Does exist a type which models an micro-cogeneration engine?
Where i could find the "TESS cogen Library", and the type907?

  Best regards.
