Re: [TRNSYS-users] Generating Steam & Comparing Steam vs. Hot Water

Fred,

Have you considered the steam boilers in the TESS Cogeneration Library,
Type638 and Type639? These components consider the pressure and enthalpy
and call the steam properties subroutine. I can send you more information
if you wish.

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

Subject:[TRNSYS-users] Generating Steam & Comparing Steam vs. Hot Water

Hi All,

Is there a boiler component that can generate low pressure steam. I looked at
Type700 and Type659, and both of them can meet the temperature
requirements of
steam, however I don't know if TRNSYS knows that 110C fluid is steam or
pressurized
water. There doesn't appear to be a boiler with a pressure output.

This is for a study comparing steam boilers vs. hot water heaters. Has
anyone ever
made this comparison?

Thanks,

Fred
