I am a TRANSYS newbe and I am trying to model a ground source heat pump system using TRANSYS-16. The aim is to perform some analysis of operational strategies on the use of the system over the heating system. For a bore-whole based system, it was suggested that I use Type557 for the ground modelling. It needs to model the heat storage gains of the ground due seasonal solar effects and the depletion due to the heat pump extraction. No active heat storage is performed during the winter. I have been reading the document titled, “Duct Ground heat Storage Model” ,Type557-DST_manual.pdf and note that most of the discussion is concerned with active storage. Can anybody comment on the use of this model for exclusive heat extraction with passive solar gains? Do I need to consider modelling any other thermodynamic qualities between Type557 and my own custom heat pump model? Kind Regards Paul |
