Try this: create another subroutine (TYPE) from the same FORTRAN code of TYPE60, compile and link it to the TRNSYS engine, create also its own proforma and use this new component to replace one of the existing tanks in your project.

Dear TRNSYS Users,
I attach the tpf file and the txt file used in the simulation. I have the following problem: there are two tanks (hot_reservoir and cold_reservoir) which are not linked, if I change the heat exchange length in the tank "cold_reservoir" from 50 to 200 m, the result is that the temperature of the fluid exiting from the heat exchanger of the other tank "hot_reservoir"
changes (it gets lower). So changing something in tank 2, has a consequence in tank 1, even if they are not connected whatsoever. I don't understand the reason.
Has anyone got an idea of what might have happened?
