Subject: Re: [TRNSYS-users] Max heat load calculation
In some older versions of TRNSYS 16, there was a problem with TRNBuild
not understanding spaces in pathnames but that has since been resolved.
I was able to run a max heat load calculation from TRNBuild with the
following settings (in the Options menu)
C:\Program Files\Trnsys16_1\Building\Lib\Basic
C:\WINDOWS\Notepad.exe
C:\Program Files\Trnsys16_1\Exe\TRNExe.exe
C:\Program Files\Trnsys16_1\Examples\SunSpace\SunSpace.dck
As far as TRNSYS simulations run from the Studio are concerned, if path
names have spaces in them, they need to be enclosed in double quote marks:
"C:\Program Files\Trnsys16_1\Examples\SunSpace\SunSpace.dck"
However, the Studio writes those quote marks for you so you do not need
to add them to your "External Files" tab information. There are another
few exceptions about space names. Most importantly, variable names /
labels such as those of Type25 and Type65 cannot have spaces in them.
Regards,
David
