Re: [TRNSYS-users] Problem with type 60

Claire,
The degree to which the tank stratifies is the result of the tank geometry and the inputs. If you have a small tank and very large flowrates going into and out of the tank then the stratification will disappear. If you are putting low flow rates of very hot or very cold water into the tank, then stratification should begin to appear. If you would like to send me your input file, I can take a look at it for you and see if I can find the cause.
Kind regards,
 David

Dear Trnsys users,

i meet a problem with type 60 : there is no temperature stratification. I put 10 nodes in 'output' & 'derivative', résult : nodes 1 to 4 have a T° of 88°C (T of the first inlet) and nodes 5 to 10 a T° of 83°C (T of the second inlet).
Do you know how to stratificate this tank?

Thanks very much.

Claire
