Re: [TRNSYS-users] Input files

Ali,
There is no rule as to what the input file is called as far as Studio is concerned. However, if you are trying to run multiple input files (*.dck) that have already been generated, I would recommend that you use either a batch file and the command:

"c:\Program Files\Trnsys16_1\Exe\TRNExe.exe" "c:\Program Files\Trnsys16_1\MyProjects\...\NameOfInputFile.dck" /n

or that you run a parametric table from TRNEdit in which the input file name stays the same but a certain CONSTANT statement is varied from one run to the next. In this case, the individual *.dck files will be created as each parametric table run starts.
Kind regards,
 David

Dear TRNSYS Users,

I am trying to run TRNSYS simulation using different input files. I tried to set the deck file name in the control card to ‘any’ but I still get errors. I think it requires the name of the deck file to be similar to the ‘.tpf’ file. Is there away to avoid this problem. I know that a parametric table runs in TRNEdit do the same thing where many input files are created and then run.

Regards,

Ali
