Chun Kwong, If you have solar collectors that are truly integrated with the facade of your building then you will need to define the building wall on which the collectors are mounted as a BOUNDARY wall with a user defined outside surface temperature and you will need to define a Type56 output for either the inside surface temperature or for the energy transfered out through the outside surface of that wall (QCOMO); which output you need depends on your collector model. You then need a collector model that takes either the energy conducted through its back side or the inside surface temp of the wall and which calculates the temperature of the interface between the wall and the collector. I believe that there are some models like that in the TESS Green Building Library. Kind regards, david a8304506@graduate.hku.hk wrote: Hello, Trnsys users. I want to simulate a solar cooling system with the solar collectors mounted on the external wall of a building. I suppose that I add an active layer on the external of the wall with an input equivalent heat transfer coefficient for the solar collectors. However, I don't konw how I can output that value from the solar collector models (say Type71, Type73). Can anyone advise how I can make it? Thank you!
