Re: [TRNSYS-users] Type557b's problems-about borehole resistance

Dear Jeff and Trnsys users,

Actually I use Type557b to obtain the borehole thermal resistance and thermal conductivity of soil by thermal respons test. I think understanding the parameter 11 and 12 will make my work better. And can you give me some other advise for thermal response test by using Type557?

Thank you in advance.

If you're not comfortable calculating the resistances yourself and
entering them in the proformas, then you should use the other proformas
for the Type 557 model that calculate these resistances for you based on
the type of pipes, pipe spacing etc.  You chose the "Thermal Resistance
Known" folder and instead should have chosen the "Standard" folder.  Hope
this helps.
