Re: [TRNSYS-users] About Geometry using trnsys

Bing,
I would recommend that you look at the building tutorial that is in the 06-MultizoneBuilding manual and that you look at the restaurant example that you will find in the ..\Trnsys16_1\Examples\ directory. The TRNSYS building model doesn't care about the shape of walls, only about their areas and orientations. Orientations are defined in two parts. They are given a name in TRNBuild. Each orientation name defined in TRNBuild becomes a set of inputs to the building model. It is then necessary to define the slope and azimuth in the weather data reader / processor (Type15 or Type109) and connect the appropriate outputs to the building model's inputs.
Kind regards,
 David

Hey there

I'm new to Trnsys. I have a question.

Can trnsys do any shape of geometry such as a triangle shape wall with any degree of wall orientation?

Because from the TRNSYS build input, I can only specify wall orientation such as Northwest etc..without any degrees

Thanks,

Bing
