Re: [TRNSYS-users] weather file

Bettina,

TMY2 and 190 files are simlpy text files - you can open them with Notepad, for example. The TMY2 format description is located here: http://rredc.nrel.gov/solar/pubs/tmy2/ It's just a "fixed-width" format.

Hope that helps,
Cramer

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] weather file

Hello Trnsys users,

is there a possibility to create a simple weather file with our measures (temperature, relative humidity, total radiation)? I’m not able to open an read the .tm2 or the .109 files in the examples, so I can’t see the necessary format. I’m trying to use the data reader type 9, but I’m not sure if it’s correct.

Thank you very much

Bettina
