Re: [TRNSYS-users] Time Inconsistency!

Davide,
When you specify your simulation time step in the Studio, I assume that you are changing the units from hours to minutes and then entering the corresponding value. What I would recommend is that you set the simulation time step units to "string" and enter the variable name "DELT"

Next, in the field at the bottom of the control cards window, paste the following two lines:

EQUATIONS 1
DELT = 10/60

(if you want to run with a different time step - 5 minutes, for example, then make the equation

DELT = 5/60

TRNSYS is trying to find two integers that when divided, give a value that is as close as possible to the decimal time step that was set. The Studio has a tendency to truncate time steps that are not entered in units of hours when it converts them back.

Kind regards,
David

Dear TRNSYS users,
I have a problem with my simulation, since it gives me an error, while simulating, defined as "time inconsistency, check that time of last data read and time of next data read are correctly connected".
They of course are.
The problem is I get this trouble just in the case my time step is smaller then 10 minutes. with a 10 time step there are no problems. With a smaller time step (I simulate from May to September) the simulation works till half July, then stucks.
Thanks for attention and help,
best regards,
Davide
