I've used most of the storage tank models in TRNSYS, and written a few of them as well. In my opinion, the Type 531-534 storage tank models (TESS) are probably your best choice. They are stable, well-tested, calibrated to data on several projects, very flexible, and allow you to have multiple immersed heat exchangers.
