Alfred,The equation IB_N will have the value if Input9 (which is presumably the beam radiation of tilted surface-1) as long as the angle of incidence of beam radiation on surface 1 (AI_N) is less than 90 degrees. It is a way of making sure that Type109 doesn't pass solar radiation to the building when the beam radiation is behind the plane of the building surface. The equation should not be necessary; I have never needed to use an equation like that. It has always been sufficient to make sure that the weather data component appears before the building in the input file. To change the input file order, go to the component control cards icon (where you set the simulation start and stop times)

Hello, today I got the 16.1 TRNSYS. I tested the project wizard to build a simple building project. When finished the data from type109 will go through a Equa called "Radiation"There is a formula I don't understand. IB_N = Input9 * LT(AI_N,90)Why is the "beam radiation of titled surface-1" 'North' (input9) multiplied with LT(AI_N,90) to get IB_N. I tought "beam radiation of titled surface-1" is the IB_NAnd why only North. Every other orientation gets simple the data from type109 without modification.Hope someone can help me. bye, Alfred _______________________________________________ TRNSYS-users mailing list TRNSYS-users@engr.wisc.edu https://www.cae.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/trnsys-users
