[TRNSYS-users] Vacancy announcement: Senior researcher/researcher positions in Building Physics and Building Services



Dear Trnsys users,

Applications are invited for two positions as researchers/senior researchers at the Department of Civil Engineering (DTU Civil Engineering) at the Technical University of Denmark. The positions are available as soon as possible.

 

The research area for the senior researcher will include heat and mass transfer on active solar heating systems. The research will be focused on solar combi systems, on advanced water stores with inlet stratifiers, on advanced control strategies for solar heating systems and on utilization of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) calculations and EFD (Experimental Fluid Dynamics) such as PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry). Applicants with experience in these fields will therefore be preferred.

 

The research area for the researcher/senior researcher will include heat and mass transfer on active solar heating systems. The research will be focused on solar combi systems, on advanced water stores, on advanced control strategies for solar heating systems and on utilization of TRNSYS calculations. Applicants with experience in these fields will therefore be preferred.

 

The research areas of the Department of Civil Engineering include building physics and building service applications. The working areas of the researchers/seniors researchers can by time be expanded to include these areas.          

 

Candidates should have a PhD degree in engineering or a similar degree equivalent to the PhD level (for researcher) and/or academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding a position as assistant professor (for senior researcher).

 

In the assessment of the candidates consideration will be given to

·        scientific production and research potential

·        the ability to promote and utilize research results

·        the ability to contribute to teaching

·        an all-round experience basis, preferably including international experience

·        the ability to contribute to attract external funding and development of the department’s internal and external cooperation

Applications, which should be submitted in English, must include a list of publications indicating scientific highlights. Teaching materials and research publications to be considered in the assessment must be enclosed as well.

 

The salary and appointment terms are negotiated in accordance with the current collective agreement for Danish University faculty members.
