Ali, 
  Type42c can be used to model any piece of equipment whose performance is based only on one input variable. It uses the standard TRNSYS data file syntax, which is described in the 08-Programmer's Guide (section 8.4.4.4). You would have one row of numbers (the value of each independent variable) and then one line of performance data for each value of independent variable. There can be up to 5 dependent variables for each independent variable. The file Type1-FlatPlateCollector-IAMData-OpticalMode3.dat could be read with Type42c.
