Dear,
The description of this parameter is "The
actual volume of the storage tank (not the nominal value).". The volume is
considered as constant in this type of storage. If you opt for a variable volume
storage tank, like type 39, the paramter 2 gives the overall, or the maximum
volume and the balance between input values 2 and 3 will determine the actual
volume of water at a given moment.

Dear TRNSYS Users , In type
4a thermal storage , the unit of the second parameter in this type which
consist of " VOLUME OF THE TANK " is in m3 or other unit as you know , but
this parameter is it , forexemple, in m3 per hour or per day or it takes
automatically the simulation step that I fixed in control cards( Hour , day ,
s, month ...) ? What should I consider ? Any help is appreciated
