Re: [TRNSYS-users] trnsys-ees connection

Dapeng,
I am not sure whether your email got answered or not so I apologize if this is a repeat reply. I don't think the initial value will matter very much to your simulation because as soon as the simulation starts, the initial value specified for each component will be replaced with the output values of the component from which they are connected. Simply make sure that you choose a reasonable enough value that will allow both your EES model and Type557 to solve without generating an error.

As a side note, you might consider placing a pipe and pump component between the Type66 model and the Type557 model. The pump model will allow you to turn ON and OFF the flow between the heat pump and the ground field and the pipe model will ensure that there is thermal capacitance in the piping loop. It may be that your bore field (Type557) provides enough thermal capacitance to ensure that the loop is numerically stable but it is best to add the lrunout pipes as well.

Kind regards,
 David

dear trnsys users:

I want to use type66 and type557a to simulate a heat pump cycle, and a simple heat pump cycle including evaporator, compressor, condenser and throttle valve is modeled with EES. The outlet fluid temperature of type557a is as the import parameter(ie. enter water temperature of condenser) of EES, and the export parameter of EES is as the inlet fluid temperature of type557a, so these both form a cycle. But i don't know how to determine this cycle's initial value, such as enter water temperature at time=0.

Doed anyone help me? Thank you very much!

  Best regards!
