Re: [TRNSYS-users] building model
Bertrand,
The building model that you choose to use depends on the
complexity of the building that you are trying to model. If you have a
simple, single zone building that can be represented as a single
temperature (walls and air at the same temperature) then you can use
Type88. If you have a multizone building but one in which you can
represent the walls and air of each zone with a single temperature, then
you can use Type660, the TESS Library multizone version of the Type88
lumped capacitance building. If you have a more complex building and are
concerned about more accuracy in calculating solar radiation effects,
interior surface temperatures, etc. then you should use Type56.
There are some models of spit system air conditioners in the TESS
HVAC Library so you would not have to model the evaporator, condenser,
compressor, and valve separately. If you want to model the refrigeration
cycle you can of course but one of the difficulties of doing so is that
the time constant for changes in the refrigeration cycle is very short
(on the order of a second) while the time constant of the building is on
the order of 5 to 15 minutes usually. Often there arises a difficulty in
choosing a time step for your simulation that results in an accurate
model of both the building and the refigeration cycle.
Kind regards,
David
Dear all'
i want to model a building in which we have an air conditionner with
TRNSYS.
I don't know the proper component i should use for the building: Type 88,
56, 34, 12, ..??
the air conditioner is part of a vapor commpresion refrigeration system
where the evaporator should be in the building. for this, could you tell
me which components i can use for the evaporator, the condenser and
the throtlle valve?.
yours,
