Re: [TRNSYS-users] TYPE 71

Dear Meriem
I think you calculated the right matrix coefficients. (It would be helpful if you could provide us the values, you got from the graph). I also have the problem in specifying the fourth parameter (Negative of second order efficiency coeficient). I solved that problem by changing the default value and save the model again. The efficiency mode of the SPF measurement is 2. The temperature range of evacuated tubes depend very much on the specific type (max. pressure etc.) I have another problem with TYPE71. Maybe somebody could tell me what is the difference between type71 and type1e (Biaxial Incidence Angle Modifiers). In the manual it is mentioned that both types use the same "thermal model" but the results of my calculation are quite different.
Thanks
Martin

Dear Trnsys-users,
I am using type 71 in order to model an evacuated tube collector, I created an IAM data file from the technical support I joined to my mail, I wish that somebody could tell me if I calculated properly the matrix coefficients, I did it exactly as descibed in the comment of the file "Type71-EvacuatedTubeSolarCollector-IAMData.dat". I am also having a problem in specifying the fourth parameter: the efficiency mode, since I did not find in the technical support any remark about the Tc value (whether it is the inlet, the average or the outlet Temperature). My last question is about the range of fluid temperature that evacuated tubes are able to provide.
I will be grateful for all your advises and suggestions.
Best Regards.
Meriem
