Re: [TRNSYS-users] Type 53
Hi Akif,
I am trying to model a similar application as yours and also trying to
understand your problem. Is it possible for you to share a chiller
performance input file with me in terms of X, Y and Z? I am facing
grammatical error generating this input file. Later I may wish to run the
program using your data.
Thank you.

Hello everybody,
I am modelling a centrifugal chiller with trnsys type 53. I let the model
to read the external data file, which is composed of X, Y and Z values as
usual. The model works and gives the table of results which is composed of
power, cooling load, water flows, COPâ?¦etc. But I have some problems and
also questions:
1. In my simulation model I define the evaporator leaving water
temperature, evaporator water flow rate and condenser water flow rate as
variables, I let type 53 to read these variables from the tables (for each
variable one table composed of 20 different values) that I created by using
data reader type 9a and I link these data readers to type 53 and printer
type 65b adequately. Do you see any fundamental mistake with my model
logic?
2. In the case when I donâ??t use any variable using a data reader and just
enter the parameter and input values and let the model read the external
data file, I get only one constant result for each output value and the
results in my graphic are only straight lines! I have the feeling that, the
model should give various results for each output because of the
definitions of X, Y and Z in the external data file. Could you write me
your comment about this?
3. My biggest problem is that the chiller power results calculated by the
model are not same with the power values in the curve-fit results which
are calculated according to the X, Y and Z values in the external data
file. My curve-fit results table is composed of only chiller power, but
theoretically it should be composed of â??T, Load and COP values, isnâ??t
it? Where does this difference come from?
Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am trying to simulate two pv, one with shade.
The program works fine, but, while the Pv module, that i am using is 275 W,
the output of Type94a gives me more...
If I simulate to 29 kW for example with 72 of this modules in summer i have
about 60 kW....
Any Ideas how to correct this..
Thank You
