Re: [TRNSYS-users] Implement a air handling unit
Samir,
My approach has always been to use a number of models that are in
the TESS HVAC and Hydronics Libraries to assemble an air handler from its
component pieces. The most basic level usually includes a thermostat, a
fan, a pump, a diverting valve, a heating coil, and a cooling coil model.
If you only care what happens to the air side of the AHU (in other words
you don't care what happens to the outlet water that was used to
condition the air) then you can use Type696 (also in the TESS HVAC
library) as a single-model alternative.
Kind regards,
David

Dear all,
I must implement an air handling unit, I
used type 92 but the problem is that this type model
only a part of air handling unit. Anyone know the
type which allow to model an entire air handling unit (fans,
?)?
The aim of my simulation is to study a
building consumption. To know the building consumption can
I substitute an air handling unit by a
simple fan?
Thank you in advance.
