Re: [TRNSYS-users] negative value for solar radiation
Martina,
I believe that the error message is being generated by Type56 and that
"20orientation" means that the solar radiation on the 20th orientation (or
perhaps on surface number 20) is going out of bounds. Often times this is
an indication that there is a problem with the incidence angle of solar
radiation on that surface. For example, there may be solar radiation on a
surface when the incidence angle says that there should be none. What I
would suggest you do is to disconnect that particular solar radiation
connection between your data reader / weather processor and the building
model and see if you can get your project to run. That may lead you to the
cause of the error. If not, then I would suggest that you contact your
distributor to see if they can find the problem in your simulation. If you
aren't sure who to contact, please send me your user id number (found in
the file user16.id) and I can put you in contact with the proper person.
Kind regards,
David

Hi, I'm an Italian student, I'm having some trouble with solar radiation,
but the message says "negative value for solar radiation on 20orientation
encountered" and I don't know if 20orientation (it is written without
space between the two words), is refereed to some orientation in
particular... I have filtered all the data about radiation with equation
that choose the max value between zero and the radiation... I don't know...
thanks for your kind attention... I apologise for my English...
