The Department of </x-tad-smaller><x-tad-smaller>Civil and Architectural Engineering</x-tad-smaller><x-tad-smaller> at the </x-tad-smaller><x-tad-smaller>University of Wyoming</x-tad-smaller><x-tad-smaller> invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the Architectural Engineering program. The Architectural Engineering program is ABET accredited with emphasis areas in structural and mechanical building systems. The program has approximately 200 undergraduate students.

We are interested in candidates with research and teaching interests in Architectural Engineering with focus on building mechanical systems including heating, ventilating, and air conditioning, renewable energy technologies, alternative energy systems, energy-efficient and sustainable building design, thermal systems simulation and building controls with information management. The applicant will be expected to develop an externally funded research program with peer-reviewed publication activities and to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The applicant must hold a Ph.D. in Engineering or other closely related discipline at the time of appointment. Professional registration or eligibility for registration as well as industrial experience is desirable. The position is expected to be filled as a tenure-track assistant professor. However, exceptional candidates with a proven track record in teaching and extramurally supported research/scholarship will be considered at the associate and full professor levels. The successful candidate will begin duties in August 2007.

The College of Engineering has over 80 faculty and offers seven ABET-accredited degree programs. The Department of Civil & Architectural Engineering has 19 research-active faculty members and an enrollment of over 400 undergraduate and 40 graduate students. Laramie has a population of approximately 27,000 people and is a short distance from many outdoor recreation areas.
