Re: [TRNSYS-users] Cooled Beams

Alastair,
Some months ago, we were asked to submit a proposal to write a TRNSYS chilled beam model. Unfortunately the project never got off the ground but from the background research that we did, it appeared as though using manufacturer's catalog data combined with some physics was going to be by far the best option, particularly in the case of passive beams where the air flow rate is driven by natural convection over the cool coils.
Cheers,
 David

TRNSYS Users

I'm using TRNSYS16 to investigate Cooled/Chilled beams and cooled ceilings for
my undergrad thesis.
I'm modelling a commercial office floor using a type56. I'm happy with my
cooled ceiling simulations but I'm not sure where to start with the beams.

Does anyone have any pointers?

Thanks in advance

Alastair
