There are two versions of each of the TESS slab models; one for Type56 (which has the concept of a boundary wall) and one for use with other building models (such as Type19). In the second case, instead of the slab surface temperature, the slab model takes air temperature, radiation temperature, convection and radiation coefficients for the inside surface of the slab. The energy gain / loss through the slab is then added as a miscellaneous gain.

TESS has models that seem suitable for Type 56 zones, but it doesn't seem that they can be used for Type 19 zones. I have the same question concerning underfloor heating for Type 19 zones. Is Type 160 the best model for an underfloor heating system for Type 19?

I need the models to be able to accurately account for the incident solar radiation on the floor, thermal storage in the mass, and heat loss to the ground.
