Re: [TRNSYS-users] open circuit voltage photovoltaitic panel

Dear Javier,

I would recommend looking at the references cited in the mathematical description of Type 180 (Volume 5, section 5.2.9). This component started as a model for a PhD thesis in the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Best regards,

Diego

I am working with pv model 180 e
I have a book wich calculate Vocc(voltage open circuit ) as
Vocc=vocc, nominal+MUVOC*(Tcell-25)
Tcell=tambient+0.3*G, where G=radiation
I supose trnsys model is more accurate.
The problem is that Vocc with my book formule predict that for our arrangement, series 25 panels, woluld be on the limit of what may be admisible by the panles and inverter.
But TRNSYS predict Vocc values no so critical, values are lower.
Must I think that the formule of my book is rude and so i mus be quiet with tRNSYS prediction of Vocc Can I found some internet direction with information about TRNSYS model for PV.
Thanks in advance
