[TRNSYS-users] TRNSYS Type 683: Rotary desiccant dehumidifier
Hello Everyone,
Trying to gather some information on this TRNSYS type and what it can be
used for.
The documentation indicates that this model predicts the inlet temperature
of the regeneration air needed given a set point for exit process air
humidity ratio, temperature and humidity of the process air at the inlet,
and the humidity ratio of the regeneration air at the inlet. This model then
does not limit the capacity of the desiccant wheel. It assumes that the
wheel is large enough to meet the set point for the exit humidity ratio of
the process air.
A real system though would have a set capacity for the wheel based on design
conditions. The exit humidity ratio of the process air would then vary
depending on the inlet properties of the process and regeneration air
states.
Has anyone had success using the TRNSYS model for this situation?
