Re: [TRNSYS-users] help

Ana,
If you are interested in calculating the total cooling load of the Type56 building, you can just look at the Type56 default output called "QSENS" for each zone. This is the amount of energy that must be added to or removed from the building in order to maintain the set points that you specify in TRNBuild by turning on the heating and cooling types in each zone. If, on the other hand, you are interested in putting an absorption chiller in the building to meet the building's cooling demand then you are changing from a control mode called "energy rate control" to a control mode called "temperature level control." In energy rate control, the building model calculates how much energy was required to maintain a certain set temperature. In temperature level control, you have a certain amount of cooling capacity available in your equipment and you implement thermostats, ducts, fans, pipes, etc. as necessary to try and keep the building at the desired temperature. To use Type107 and Type56 in conjunction, you will need to add zone relative humidity outputs and ventilation stream inputs (air stream temperature, air change rate, and relative humidity) to each zone that you are trying to condition with the chiller. You will then need to implement a combination of controllers (Type2 perhaps), a fan (Type3), an air to water heat exchanger (Type5 can be used), and Type107 to take air from the building zones, cool it, and return it to the building.
Kind regards,
  david

Dear users,
I am using Trnsys 16. I would like to know how I can connect the Type 107
(absorption chiller) to the Type 56 (Multizone Building) for obtaining the
total cooling load of the building. What are the outputs of Type 107 and inputs
of Type 56 for obtaining this result?

  Can you help me?
  Thank you
