Dear Antonio,Unfortunately, a "Range Check" error means that there was a problem in your simulation that was not caught by TRNSYS and which resulted in some illegal function (a divide by zero, an array going out of bounds, etc.). In TRNSYS 16 we added some additional debugging features that allow you to track down these errors more easily but in TRNSYS 15, without running your simulation through a Fortran compiler developer's studio, there isn't much more information that you can get.
The error that you describe in Type140 looks like a problem with the call to Typeck. Type140 is a non-standard component (I think) and you should contact your distributor for help in solving the problem. Your distributor will also be able to help with the Range Check issue and will probably ask you to send your project file and the Type140 code. If you aren't sure who your distributor is, please send your user id number (15B-Xyyy where X is a letter and yyy is a number) to me by emailing bradley@tess-inc.com and I will be happy to get you in contact with the correct person - who knows, the correct person might even be me!

Hello everyone,
I am a new user of TRNSYS 15 and I am having trouble to make a new
component work. So far, the most difficult problems have been:
1) RANGE CHECK ERROR
2) The other error is listed below, I can't work it out and I hope
somebody can give me a hand.
***** ERROR ***** TRNSYS ERROR # 103
UNIT 1 TYPE 140
7 INPUTS WERE SPECIFIED, 0 ARE REQUIRED
CHECK COMPONENT CONFIGURATION
***** ERROR ***** TRNSYS ERROR # 103
UNIT 1 TYPE 140
26 PARAMETERS WERE SPECIFIED, 0 ARE REQUIRED
CHECK COMPONENT CONFIGURATION
140 STORAGE VARIABLES ALLOCATED FOR UNIT 1, TYPE 140 ENDING AT 141
is TYPECK, RCHECK or OCHECK able to that the blame has it ?
