Is there a way of doing this?

Todd,

Why do you need to call TRNSED before running TRNSYS with GENOPT? TRNSED is just a display software that interprets commands embedded in a TRNSYS input file. All you need to do is have GENOPT call TRNEXE.EXE; the actual run-time engine for TRNSYS. That's what we do in TRNOPT; our commercial interface between GENOPT and TRNSYS - which allows users to easily run optimizations on TRNSYS input files.
