Re: [TRNSYS-users] Compaq visual fortran 6.1A

Hi David,

This sounds like your compiler does not support a newer feature,
which did not exist when Compaq FORTRAN 6.1 was made.

I think these features are only used in types 155 (calling Matlab) and 62 (calling
Excel), so you might try to remove these options (search for
/check:arg_temp_created
in the .dsp files and remove it; be carefull not to change the syntax, and catch
all occurences).

But, as Michael said, the best and easiest option in TRNSYS 16 is probably not to
re-compile the TRNLIB.DLL, and only make your own (not using the options
that your compiler doesn't know). In this case, you can create a DLL compile
project from scratch (using the instructions on the SEL web site), with any
compiler.

(Personaly, I would buy the new compiler - the update is not expensive, and if they made 5 new versions since, there is probably a reason to it. The decision is
if you want to invest time or money ... :-) ).

Hope this helps,

Werner
