Florian,The "new" control strategy is intended to be used with SOLVER 1. The "old" control strategy is intended to be solved with SOLVER 0. The choice of SOLVER should depend upon the amount of capacitance that you have in your system. Systems that have almost no capacitance are sometimes better solved using SOLVER 1 while systems that have significant amounts of capacitance (a building, thermal storage tanks, batteries, etc.) are usually fine using SOLVER 0. Without changing the SOLVER, you might look at your controller dead band temperatures and increase them if possible to increase the stability of your controller.

Dear users , i use the old strategy controller for my simulation, and i get sticking problems. ***** WARNING ***** UNIT 21 TYPE 2 CONTROLLER WAS STUCK 20 PERCENT OF THE TIMESTEPS DURING THE SIMULATION also if i let run the siumulation for a month ,i get just warnings ***** WARNING ***** THE INPUTS TO UNITS 13 18 19 22 26 27 29 30 40 41 DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS 1 2 WERE NOT CONVERGED WITHIN THE SPECIFIED TOLERANCE AT TIME= 3783.0000 (for example)if i increase the simulation time to two month or a year , the simulation gets terminated.so i read in the manaul about the new strategy controller can this controller helps me? or have someone an idee? thanks a lot floh _______________________________________________ TRNSYS-users mailing list TRNSYS-users@engr.wisc.edu https://www.cae.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/trnsys-users
